Birthday Advent Calendar...

Birthday Advent Calendar...

My husband has a birthday this month and I am sure that I am not the only one that has this problem...  What do you buy someone that has everything?  My husband is hard to buy for since he never asks for anything.  So I thought I would do something fun for him...  I had been looking on Pinterest for ideas and I came across this awesome advent calendar for Christmas of course but I thought it would be fun to make one up for my husband to open each day starting on August 1 thru his birthday which is on the 19th!  Fun right?

I loved this idea so much that I ran with it!  Funny how things work...  I was driving home one day and someone had tossed out this awesome board, perfect!  So I brought it home and washed it then I left it out to dry.  My husband favorite color is red so it was my original plan to use red and white BUT this board had old teal paint splattered on it so guess what?  Yup... teal it is!

Into my laundry room I went and counted out 19 clothes pin, adhered them to the board.  Oh yeah I painted the numbers on with teal paint, almost forgot that step...lol

I created 19 tags with little surprises for my husband...  wrapped them in brown packing paper and tied some cute teal bakers twine around each one.  It took lots of planning and creativity to come up with all these little surprises but well worth it!

If you can see, he has already opened the first one :-)

I hope that you will think outside the box for ideas...

Please come back, we have lots of parties coming up and I have some invitations and pics to share :-)

Birthday Card...

Happy Birthday Mary!!!

I would like to wish my Special friend Mary a very Blessed Birthday...

so I used my Magnolia Cowgirl Tilda stamp to create Mary's card.
(I really LOVE the way it turned out)

I wrapped her gift in some Craft wrapping paper and then just added a ribbon with a bow on the front to hold the card.
Simple but beautiful...

Mary, I am so BLESSED to have you in my life.  You are so SPECIAL  to me and I cherish your friendship.
Have a WONDERFUL birthday....Luv Ya!!!!

Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge...

Hello...
I have another card to share with you today, I have decided to participate in the SSC challenge this week.
This weeks scripture is::  Matthew 1:20-22, "But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, 'Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.' All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 'The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel' which means, 'God with us.'"

ChallengeMake a card/project that features an angel, such as in the patterned paper, a stamped image, a charm, etc

Here is the card that I created...

the center of the card is made to swing around...

then on the inside...
I hope you like my card...
