Scrappy Moms Challenge...

Happy Monday and Thank You for stopping by...

I would like to share a project that I created for the
Scrappy Moms Challenge this week.
The challenge was to create a 3D project using twine and or a button...
Here I created a tissue box cover...

I did not design this template, my friend Mary found this project at Splitcoast Stampers and I thought this would be fun to create...
I've added a butterfly cameo, mulberry flowers and some pink flatback beaded trim...

This tissue box cover was SUPER simple to create and I think this will look cute on my Mom's nightstand.

Have a Blessed week...

Thankgiving Card...

I colored this image using my Copic markers in sepia tones and I LOVE the way it turned out...
I decided to add a fun little element to the top of the card...

I kept the inside simple, just a sweet little sentiment...

Thank you for stopping by...

Blitzen Christmas Card...

Happy Sunday and thank you for stopping by...

I would like to share a Christmas card that I created for a class which I taught at my local scrapbooking store.  It was inspired by the autumn card that I created for the Scrappy Moms challenge and here it is...
I used the Bo Bunny Blitzen paper collection and craft cardstock for the base...
I used acetate for a "floating" card effect...
Blitzen is cut from the design paper and adhered to the card at the antlers and hind legs...
here is a close up of the darling little bell ...
I thought this Scrappy Mom's sentiment was perfect for my card...

Have a Blessed Sunday!!!!

Green Tomato Jam...

I found a recipe for Green Tomato Jam
and since I had a blast making the Jalapeno Jelly
I thought I would give this recipe a try

This recipe is from Marye Audit
and SO super easy...

I put the two together so that you would be able to see the difference in the Jalapeno Jelly and the Tomato Jam...
My friend thinks that my Jalapeno Jelly is a bit dark and I think I MAY have gotten a bit carried away with the jalapenos...lol

It is really Yummy on toast...

It has been fun trying NEW things
Be sure to stop by tomorrow, I have some AWESOME pictures to share...

Yummy Green Tomato Cake...

WOW!!!
I would never think to add green tomatoes to a cake but...
it is AMAZING!!!

it tastes like zucchini cake...

I was so surprised at how moist and yummy this cake is
I followed the recipe EXCEPT for one ingredient, I was completely out of pecans so I added walnuts and it worked out perfectly

This recipe is from Marye Audet
and super easy to make...

See you tomorrow  :-)

Tomatoes...

Remember last week I told you that it was freezing here in
New Mexico?
Well I wasn't kidding...lol

We had a HOT & DRY summer and our tomato plants didn't do very well at first but once it started cooling down they just took off..
I have been enjoying my cherry tomatoes and so has
EVERYONE else...lol

I ALWAYS let my tomatoes ripen on the vine,
well until NOW!

I went out on Wednesday evening and picked a basket of RED tomatoes, then I came in and Diane had sent me a message to let me know that she had brought in ALL of her green tomatoes because it was going to freeze.  Well I thought about it for a minute and ran back out there to try and save as many of my babies as
I could...
I was out there for about 1 hour and the more I picked the more I found.  We started out with 8 plants but only the cherry tomato plants survived the 110 degree
summer days...
So when I say my 2 tomatoes plants were covered I mean they were COVERED!!
I picked a bushel of tomatoes and finally decided to give up...

Now the fun part,
What shall I do with these babies...

Everyone tells me that fried green tomatoes are AWESOME but these are too little, so I started surfing the web LOOKing for ways to use or preserve these little guys and I came across a couple of recipes...Yes!!
I am NOT going to do a Green Tomato Week but I do think that these recipe are worth sharing so I hope that you will come back to see what I have been doing...
