Birthday Card...

Happy Birthday Mary!!!

I would like to wish my Special friend Mary a very Blessed Birthday...

so I used my Magnolia Cowgirl Tilda stamp to create Mary's card.
(I really LOVE the way it turned out)

I wrapped her gift in some Craft wrapping paper and then just added a ribbon with a bow on the front to hold the card.
Simple but beautiful...

Mary, I am so BLESSED to have you in my life.  You are so SPECIAL  to me and I cherish your friendship.
Have a WONDERFUL birthday....Luv Ya!!!!

Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge...

Hello...
I have another card to share with you today, I have decided to participate in the SSC challenge this week.
This weeks scripture is::  Matthew 1:20-22, "But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, 'Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.' All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 'The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel' which means, 'God with us.'"

ChallengeMake a card/project that features an angel, such as in the patterned paper, a stamped image, a charm, etc

Here is the card that I created...

the center of the card is made to swing around...

then on the inside...
I hope you like my card...
Hugs!!!

Thankgiving Card...

I colored this image using my Copic markers in sepia tones and I LOVE the way it turned out...
I decided to add a fun little element to the top of the card...

I kept the inside simple, just a sweet little sentiment...

Thank you for stopping by...

Blitzen Christmas Card...

Happy Sunday and thank you for stopping by...

I would like to share a Christmas card that I created for a class which I taught at my local scrapbooking store.  It was inspired by the autumn card that I created for the Scrappy Moms challenge and here it is...
I used the Bo Bunny Blitzen paper collection and craft cardstock for the base...
I used acetate for a "floating" card effect...
Blitzen is cut from the design paper and adhered to the card at the antlers and hind legs...
here is a close up of the darling little bell ...
I thought this Scrappy Mom's sentiment was perfect for my card...

Have a Blessed Sunday!!!!

Scrappy Moms Challenge...

It's finally COLD here in New Mexico!!
Yesterday we stayed home and enjoyed some beef stew, I didn't think it would EVER be cool enough to cuddle with my blankie and enjoy some of my favorite stew again...
I had fun creating this cute little Snow Globe card for the Terrific Tuesday Challenge over at the Scrappy Moms blog...
the challenge this week was to create a card or a project using the Doodle Charms Cricut Cartridge and I created this card using my Gypsy...Yay!!
I am having a BLAST with my Gypsy...
Isn't he cute?

I created an actual snow globe using the packaging from some scrapbooking tape and then I added snow (Diamond Dust)...
I stamped this adorable snowman and then I paper pieced his scarf and mittens
Oh!!! and the sentiment comes from the Scrappy Moms
"Winter Wishes" stamp set

for the inside...I kept it simple, just stamped the sentiment using a Stampin Up stamp and I created a base using some patterned paper

I hope you like my "Snow Globe"...
Have a Blessed Weekend!!

The Shabby Tea Room Challenge...

Happy Thursday!!!
I have another card to share, this one is for a challenge over at The Shabby Tea Room.  The challenge was to create a Halloween card using PURPLE, ORANGE, BLACK & NEUTRALS WITH TWINE OR RAFFIA and here is what I created...
I love the way this card turned out, can you see the purple background?  It is purple mirror paper, fun!!  If you will look closely, you will notice that I made a Boo Boo...  I forgot to add the twine...lol  I would add it now except that I mailed this card to a friend this morning...lol

here is a close up of the bat that I stamped onto packaging from a spellbinders die with black StazOn ink and then I fussy cut it and adhered it to the card with a white Pop Dot so that it would brighten up his fangs...
I kept the inside simple, just stamped the same little bat on white cardstock

Have a Fun & Safe October 31st...

I created this card for another of my husband's co-workers, Lupe.  Last night they had a pizza party to celebrate both MaryBelle and Lupe's birthdays. Here is the card I created for him...
I placed the pickup at an angle as it is going
"Over the Hill"...lol
I embossed the pickup onto black cardstock using white embossing powder and here is a close up of the window which I cut out and then added acrylic for the glass
I love to finish the inside of my cards, and I was excited to use my vintage gas pump stamp.  I hope that you like my "retro" card...

I am really enjoying my job as "card maker"...lol

The Shabby Tea Room challenge...

Happy Sunday...
I have decided to take a challenge over at The Shabby Tea RoomThis week the challenge is to create a card using the colors in this photo...

and I decided to create a card for my husband's co-worker MaryBelle.  I have been designated as the "card maker" for the crew...lol  I guess this is a "GOOD" thing...right?  I hope that I earned this title because they like my work...
Well, anyway here is the card that I came up with...

I think that it is the perfect card for an October birthday...
I used the Phantom collection by Pink Paislee to create
this "buckle" card

another requirement was to include some dry embossing so I embossed some dots on the oval frame

the inside has PLENTY of room for everyone to add their birthday wishes.  I love the little touch that the cute owl and the caged birds add to this card.

Have a Blessed Day !!!

Stampin Sisters in Christ Challenge...

Hello Everyone...
I came across a blog that I would like to share with you...
and their challenges are inspired by scripture

Scripture for this week: Matthew 11: 28 – 30 “Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart; and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light..”

I happen to stop by in time to take their challenge...
Challenge: Sharing: use 2 of everything you use. (ie: 2 Dp - 2 flowers - 2 stamps - whatever you use must be doubled) Here is the card that I created for the challenge...

this is the inside of the card...

Have a Blessed Day!!!

Scrappy Moms Challenge...

So I have decided to take the Scrappy Moms Challenge this week and here it is...
Terrific Tuesday Challenge - This weeks challenge is to create a Fall themed project that incorporates teal and brown

I thought about it yesterday and wasn't sure IF I would take the challenge but I woke up this morning (3:30 to be exact) with an idea and well...I ran with it!

I have seen these cards before but could not remember where so basically I had to figure out how to make it all come together and I think I did just that...
I hope that you can see that the front of the card is clear...

okay...now you can...

I think the button with twine adds a cute little touch...

for the inside...
I used a masking technique to create my pumpkin patch

I hope that you enjoyed my Autumn card as much as I enjoyed creating it...

Thanks Sarah for the encouragement!!

Happy Birthday!!

Happy Monday Everyone!!
I am so glad to have survived the weekend...

Thursday was my husbands birthday...Happy Birthday Babe!!!

This is the b-day card I made for Roy,
my friend Karen gave me a piece of this really cool
sticky back metal sheet
that already had this awesome patina all over it,
and I used one of her vintage truck stamps with black staz-on ink to
stamp the image onto the metal sheet
then used some grey card stock along with the
new My Mind's Eye Portobello Road paper collection
and some Tim Holtz gears to create his card

Then friday was spent adding the finishing touches to the decorations for my Mother-in-laws 90th Birthday party.  I was in charge of decorations and wanted to Upcycle and here is what I decided to make...

these "flower bouquets" were made using vegetable cans that were spray painted,

here is the cute card box that I created for her
It's a Flower Pot!!!
The theme was "Shades of Blue"
but she also LOVES flowers so I went with that...

"Wish You Well"

Hi Everyone!
WOW!...seems like FOREVER since I've posted on my blog!  I have been very busy creating, just not the things I think everyone wants to see.  I am an Instructor at my local scrapbook store and I have been teaching four classes per month.  Well you know that creating the projects along with preparing the kits takes up a lot of my time.  I do however manage to seek in a couple of little projects and here is one of the cards that I made for my aunt.  She always has a beautiful flower garden so I thought this sweet little girl would be perfect for her.  I purchased this stamp from Rubber Necker stamps at a convention back in March and was excited to finally use it.  I colored the image using my Copic markers.  I had to keep the "embellies" simple since it was going in the mail but I still {heart} the way it turned out.  Enjoy!!

MFT "Better Get Better" Card

I have been loving the cards lately!  I created this card for my cousin Virginia who just had surgery and I thought I would share it with you before I get it in the mail.  I used the MFT's Pure Innocence "Better Get Better" stamp set which I colored using my Copic Markers.  By the way ...I am taking the Copic Certification in April...YAY so EXCITED!!!!!!  Anyway, back to the card...I used the Annalee paper collection by Prima to paper piece her dress as well as for the card.  I used the MFT Scallop Border and Butterfly set along with the Spellbinders Labels Fourteen on this card as well.  I finished it off with some Prima flowers and Prima Say It In Pearls.  Thanks for stopping by =D

Greeting Farm Later Sk8er Card

Hi, just thought I would share my latest card with you.  WOW...this card was so fun to put together!  I loved doing it in "white".  First I colored my image using W1 and W3 copic markers, I then cut the image using my Nestabilities Labels 14 die.  I then used my Pumice Stone distress ink to ink the edges of the die cut and then I just started layering white cardstock that I embossed using a couple of Tim Holtz Texture Fades and a Cuttle bug embossing folder.  Once I was happy with the layout I used my sewing machine to stitch all the pieces in place.  Thank you for stopping by!!

Happy Birthday Josie!

Hi everyone!  I am playing catch up with the Birthday card posts.  My husband's sister Josie had a birthday in January and I did get her card out on time but just recently decided to share them so here it is.  Josie has a Military (ARMY) family so...I thought of "Cheeky Mate" (she is so cute).   Check out her "dog tags"!  I found them on line when I was working on my husband's ARMY mini album.  My cards are very simple because I am just learning, but she just LOVED her card.  I hope you like it as well :-).  See ya in a bit with another card!

Cheeky Cherry Pie Birthday Card

This is a birthday card that I made for my sister-in-law Irma and I just thought I would share it with you.  I have a goal for 2011 and it is to MAKE each of my brothers, sisters, sister-in-laws, and brother-in-laws their birthday cards.  Irma is my husband's sister and she loves to bake so of course I thought of "Cheeky Cherry Pie".  Happy Birthday Irma!!
I used the Farmers Market paper collection by Shabby Green Door for Irma's card.  Notice the cute rolling pin and bowl set?  I stitched around the paper with my sewing machine before I added the paper to a craft cardstock A2 card.  I then used my Nestabilities Label 4 die, and finally Cheeky Cherry Pie is colored with my Copic markers and her dress, apron, headband and pie are paper pieced with the same collection.  Thanks for stopping by!

Malorie's Get "Whale" Soon Card

Our great niece Malorie is in the hospital and I have decided to create a "Get Well" card for her. I just received my new Cricut cartridges so I have decided to use one of them to create her card. I have chosen the Whale from the "Just Because" Card cartridge. I created the card using craft card stock. I added a corner pocket inside the card to insert a gift card. I hope that Malorie is feeling better soon and I hope that this card puts a smile on her face.
